Not a funny post. We have all heard the old phrase “As GM goes, so goes the nation”. Well, we saw how GM is now going. We can't blame the Democrats or the Republicans and there will be no miracles from the current administration. Jobs have been leaving the country for many years now. In 1993 when I first visited India, Bangalore was a very rural city and no large industry. Over the period since then, the computer industry grew exponentially (now is India's "silicon valley"). In 1993, there were only a handful of drug companies shipping drugs to the US, now the number of those firms and the products made has also expanded exponentially. Comparable developments have occurred in China. What about the auto industry ? Same thing. How do we "turn this around" ? Sorry that this is not one of my regular funny posts but it is getting scarier daily. Forget about the billions that the tax payers have given in "bailouts". We will never get paid back.

OK, this took me awhile to convert to JPG format in order to post on here. This is a flyer that I am sending to friends of mine, people I grew up with on or near 20th Street, that do not have a computer.
