Jeanette I just spoke to my Aunt Dee and she's flying in tomorrow to be
here for my aunts. Thank God. She'll be a lot of support for aunt Lillian.

Suzie...Aunt Lillian refuses to sign the DNR. Not much we can do about
that. But I just hope aunt rosie isn't suffering.

i took 3 days off for me time
just needed a breather
i think i have next week off too then back to work
we have 8 runs going out which shouldnt be so bad

deb my aunt diane is 76 lbs
and in rehab by miamonides
she says she likes it there
i gonna go see her wednesday

you may wanna look into that center
its metropolitan jewish geriatic center

Deb .....maybe Aunt Dee coming up ....and speaking to your Aunt Lillian will help. My Dad couldnt sign it either ......he didnt want any part of it ....so My Father's Brother signed it ...because his Wife talked him into it.
Its so hard ...because you want to hold onto them longer.

Debbie, it gets me very upset because I know that unless you are with them, the caregivers do NOTHING. I would speak to whomever is in charge, and tell them everything that has been happening. I would even go as far as saying that you will contact the insurance carrier and tell them that your aunt is not getting what they are paying for, and also an attorney if she is not given the proper care and it has an effect on her condition.
Don't play with these people. They will try to get away with whatever they can because they figure the family is not aware of what they are supposed to do.
I wish I were there. Tell them to do the minimal amount of testing and not to take blood tests daily. They do this is pad the bill, and will eventually have an exhausting and possibly fatal effect on an elderly patient.

Sorry, I am just pissed off at the lack of care the elderly get, especially your aunt right now.

Janet.....It's disgusting how they treat the elderly. She was without oxygen twice...they didn't feed her on time....we had to tell them two or three times she needed to be changed and when my aunt lillian would
approach them they would get nasty with her. My sister's brother-in-law is her doctor, he's going to call there today and speak to them. I hope
they do a better job then they have been. Imagine if we weren't up there
as often as we are.
