oh WARREN,
"Hey, who remembers going to the World's Fair. I don't know why but it popped in my head last night. I remember going with my class from Holy Family, the nun we had at the time took us on the subway, isn't that crazy, imagine doing that today and trying to keep track of all the kids, what a responsibility------ btw, we were in full uniform"
Hey Maryann, not only do I remember the 64 Worlds Fair you mentioned, I even remember a few things about the 39 Worlds fair. It was held basically in the same place as the 64 Fair in Queens. A Sphere and an Obelisk were the Trade mark places. There was the "Tucker car", the Planters Peanut man with a cane and a monacle, and a guy dressed up as a Heinz Pickle. Now you know why I am called the "Old Goat in Fl". The General Electric Theater from the 64 fair (Maybe Both Fairs) was called I believe the "World of Tomorrow" where the audience sits still and the stage revolves with scenes that gradually change decades. That is in Disney World now in Magic Kingdom.
World of Tomorrow was my favorite and still is. I remember that most when I think about the Worlds Fair. Yes, the stage revolves and they go through the years. Grandma washing her clothes by hand and years later they have a washing machine.
What I remember about that was the end when they are I think shopping from the T.V. and I remember thinking how crazy is that????? Who would shop from a T.v. ??? Well now QVC !!! LOL Oh u brought back a wonderful memory.
Yes went in full uniform from Saint John's and my class was on the evening news. The news happened to be there the day my class was. Oh Those were the days my friend. Love Terry Angelo Sherman -

A young BLONDE woman was driving through the Florida Everglades while on vacation. She wanted to take home a pair of genuine Alligator shoes in the worst way, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking.
After becoming very frustrated with the attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the young Blonde declared, 'Well then, maybe I'll just go out and catch my own alligator and get a pair of shoes for free!'
The shopkeeper said with a sly smile, "Well little lady, why don't you go on and give it a try?'
The blonde headed off to the swamp, determined to catch an alligator.
Later in the day, as the shopkeeper is driving home, he spots the same young woman standing waist deep in the murky water, shotgun in hand.
As he brings his car to a stop, he sees a huge nine foot gator swimming rapidly toward her. With lightning reflexes, the blonde takes aim, shoots
the creature and hauls it up onto the slippery bank.
Nearby were seven more dead gators, all lying belly up. The shopkeeper stood on the bank, watching in silent amazement. The blonde struggles mightily and manages to flip the gator onto its back.Rolling her eyes heavenward, she screams in frustration,
'SHIT! THIS ONE'S BAREFOOT, TOO!' -
