maryann, i remember the spinellis from 17th st i think there were 16 kids, i went to school with lillian and joey i think his name was joey spenilli, its been way over 50 years.

i also know the napolli from 21 st 4&5

Hi Jeanette, the four Napoli boys from 21st are my mom's 1st cousins, their mom, my Great Aunt Jenny was a very sweet woman, everyone loved her, did you know her too?

Was it chilly up in RI today??? We went from the 90's down to the mid 60's, what a shock to the body!!!! LOL

Hi Patsy, I'm doing great, busy helping my son with his house this past wk. end but otherwise good!!! I remember the empty next syndrome, it was awful, mine happened when my kids started driving at 16!!!!! Back then, the kids would get their driver's license the day they turn 16 and then they both started working at a restaurant down the road, they were never home anymore between school, friends, work!!!!. LOL Freshman year will be very exciting for Toniann, I wish her the best of luck!!!!!

Jeanette you mentioned ...Lilly Spinelli ...she was too much! They were all like my Protectors on the block ....always looking out for us little ones.

maryann, i do remember jenny well,whenever she walk up 21st she would talk with my mom, have long conversations in the gate way. very sweet women. these women were always food shopping on 5th ave.alway asking each other what they were cooking. lol lol

toniann will walk in as a feshman for the first time tomorrow.. it is orientation day. she is a little nervous, but alot of her friends from grammar school & jr. high will be there also...right now she is on 18th ave at the feast up there..it runs for 2 weeks & ends this sunday...she went w/ a bunch of friends..oh to be that young & carefree!! take care & i will talk to you soon:)

Debbie - The soup I made is nothing special....I just bought the little cubes of beef, put it in water with some onions and boiled, not too high for about 1 1/2 then I took the meat out and cut it up smaller and then I threw in chopped, carrotts, celery, onions, two beef boulion cubes, salt, pepper and cooked for another 1 1/2...it was really tasty and then I make the orzo macaroni on the side and put that it the soup when you are ready to eat, little grated cheese, and wala!!! you are done.....lol

Hi Jeanette - How was the weather there today....boy it got so cool out, tonight feels like a fall night....it does feel like "back to school" weather.....The best memory I have of starting the first day of school, for some reason are my new shoes, do you remember the smell of new shoes....boy what a memory, we thought we looked so cool with our short skirts and new shoes...lol lol

Well going to watch some TV, do a load of towels and then to bed...
