Good morning all. Thanks for the well wishes for Kevin. He's feeling better, just a runny nose now. I thought that was John Jay!!! My neighbor's daughter-in-law's father was Dr. DiMartini, but he passed away several years ago. Mr. Manos I remember as a gym teacher, he lives here in bay ridge and I see him sometimes.

One of my Bosses from The Greater N.Y. Savings Bank on 9st & 5th ave
came from 7st closer to 6th. Rose Pape and her twin Sister Jessie ...do they
sound familiar?

Jim ....I spoke to one of my former Bosses the other day and her Sisters
were at the St Thomas Reunion with you ......the Marcario Sisters from
I think 7 street also! She mentioned that we knew a Tom Cantwell from
up 9th street....just curious if he's related to you?

Hi Suzie, the only names I knew from Greater NY were a Mr Gmelch who was some kind of Manager & Mr Cleverly who was Vice President Emeritus. As a kid I had dinner with the Kohl family on Sundays sometimes and Mr Cleverly was Mrs Kohl's father. The name Pape I know for a different reason. I went out off and on with a girl named Pauline Pape who's Grandfather invented Hellman's Mayonaise. You used to see the red trucks riding around Brooklyn with the name "Henry Pape Inc". They were sole distributors of all Best Food Products back then which is what the Pape family got for the Mayonaise formula. Those Papes lived in Flatbush in a very nice house. They also had a summer place upstate NY. I see Greater NY building is now a discount department store. What a comedown for such a beautiful building!!!

Judy, thanks for keeping track of the countdown.
Do you remember a young man from 27th street who was deaf and mute. He was a great guy. I spent alot of time communicating with him inside and outside the youth center. I hope he is doing well. He had a little sister that was with him alot.

Hi Danny - Yes the Vallerios lived a couple of doors away from me....You are talking about Robin and his sister Angela, we used to hang out with Angela for many years, I used to know sign language so good back then. They had a big family, Unfortunately there older brother Arthur died and then there was John who was very young also died. I haven't seen the family in many years....they were a great family. The other brothers were Richard and Tom.
