Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

Hi Guys, I guess Robert and I caused quite a stir on here. I can assure you that it was all a big joke between Robert and I. At one point I think Patsy and maybe Debbie picked up on it and then Terry got suspicious too because she referred to the kindness of my past writings on here. I can assure you that I was taught that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. My wife Suzy has drilled that into our children too. There are certain friends that you can joke with and be sure that no feelings will be hurt. Robert is one of those friends. We have known each other since we were little, walking to grammar school together every morning. It wasn't even a picture of him. If anyone of you was offended by my posts, I truly apologize. Now let's get back to normal. PLEASE!!!!
Geri, I am so happy you are home and can't wait to see you posting again.
Francesca, happy to hear that the surgery went well. Prayer really does work and all of us were praying for both of you.

I remember someone trying to steal one of the guys from the park's Moms
pocketbook. It might have been Vince Franzone's Mom ...cant remember
right now. Everyone came to help her....and no one messed around with

Yeah Sanft's was THE place for guys clothes. There was the old man, I can't remember his name, and his son Buddy. When it was my brother Charlie's time the in place was Capri on 9th street and 5th avenue.

There was a drug store on that corner at one time. It later became a camera and stereo store. I don't know if Robert remembers this but we bought identical stereo systems there together.

I REMEMBER I THINK SALLY DAGGET (SPELL) WORKED FOR THEM.....
