Smart move Mike, Don't get yourself lumped in with us. You'll get yelled at. But I am behaving now for fear that someone may take it seriously and get offended and that's the last thing anyone on here wants. The people here are the best, especially after having met so many of them at the reunion.

Barbara-I did not see your original post. I only saw what I assume was the response from Festina. Did you say you were in favor of or against cursing ? I for one am in favor at the appropriate time.

gotta tell u a story.
i raised three girls.
i cursed like a long shoreman through the raising of them.
they're 32, 31 and 18 now.

they rarely use the word, cept like me, when u wanted to get a point across.
but never, and i mean, never when they were small.

except one of them.

my vanessa when she was about 6 yrs old was in the booster seat as me and my ex were driving home.
out of no where she asks in the silence, "mommy, i need to ask ur permission of something."
i ask.."wat is it?"
she says.."i hav such a need to say bad words, will u let me say them?"
i look at him, he looks at me, we say, "wtf."
k kid, one time, "let loose!"

well, dis kid went on for about 30 seconds, cursing like no ones business!
i was hysterical to see a tot mimic me!!!
i luved it!
she went on and on about her teacher in school, mind u, and how she was sick and tired of being bossed around.

we all just laughed afterwards, and whatever stress built up in her as a result of her tot frustrations, was gone!
we had ice cream afterwards, and i never, ever, heard another curse word out of dat girls mouth. she went back to being a sweetheart, and still is, and dis is not to suggest ur not a sweetheart using those words either...

mommy on the other hand, still uses choice words, but, again, where impact is required! lol

can we call it a day now guys?
