getting ready to go to SI to see my mom.....she has been very depressed and not eating at all...we have to see what has to be done today....

Festina - Wow what a beautiful looking family you have...your mom looks so beautiful and so happy.....sorry I missed it....so nice to see pictures of everyone that went

Helen - Enjoy the mom's birthday dinner...send her our love.

Ok going to get ready,.now I dread taking a shower and washing my hair, my finger is killing me...

I THINK SHE NEEDS LORI JEAN TO YELL AT HER LIKE WHEN SHE WAS IN THE REHAB LOL GIVE HER MY LOVE....

Praying for mom, and you of course. Does mom like dogs? Maybe you
can bring Vienna for a visit sometime. Different kind, and level of love
from those babies.

Try to get her to focus on something coming up that is positive, e.g., Christmas with the grandkids. Ask her open-ended questions like 'what would make you feel good for today' (maybe taking a day-at-a-time is more manageable). Guess I'm grasping for straws. Just be patient and pray for a way to help her. I'll pray too.

One other thing to check-out is any meds that she takes, what are the side
effects? And,

consider that she's just 'coming down' from all the activity and attention
of being a cancer patient. I recall being very scared and alone after my
chemo and radiation. While you go through treatments you have all this
attention; when the treatments stop - people assume you are cured, you
kind of feel out there 'alone,' and it's scary cause you can feel like you've stopped doing something that was fighting the cancer.

Sorry, i got carried away. Started to write one sentence of encouragement
and insight from where I was (with the intention of sheding some relevant
light)..... And guess what?

SARAYU jumped right in here and took over the keyboard!!!!!
