I 'lived' in Altamonte Springs for weeks at a time in the 80's.
At the Residence Inn. Also the one on International Drive.

I used to teach down there for AT&T (tough location, but someone
had to do it)...

Spent many a night at the Altamonte Mall (even the Altamonte Hospital
after falling in the mall) LOL. So I was kind of an Orlando resident.

Altamonte and many other smaller areas are all part of Orlando as Brooklyn is a part of NY. Most dont realize just how far Orlando reaches. I know I have read that you are down here in FloriDUH but, I'm not sure where. I'll still say a 'howdy' neighbor to ya and a good night. Again Suzie...I'm glad to see that your moms is doin better. Family IS very important and so are friends that are like family. I'm outta here. Have a good one!

NO....THIS WAS NOT ME !! LOL....my daughter Janelle sent this to me...and said Mom Im surprised this wasnt you!

I held off on making my 2 pymts for my truck .....because my daughter needed that blank check for her school and for gym uniforms and the months 660- tuition.

Well, about 11 pm a few days before our Reunion ....they rang my bell ...and it was the Repo Man ....goodlookin and sweet.......he asked for my keys to the truck. What a shitty feeling....but we were laughing as I was cleaning out the truck. I said can you lend me your car ....so I can drive Nicole to school in the morning.....he laughed and said ...I only feel bad when I see a car seat in the
vehicle .....so I then said ....ok .....then give me a minute I have to take out
Samantha's car seat! He felt like shit after that! But, we still laughed waving goodbye to my truck .....but, I did get it back for the Reunion !!!! LOL

word of advice...if your leasing a car or truck ....dont go over the 2 months ....I was 67 days late ....and they couldnt take a payment at the door!
Also, make sure you see some ID from them and paperwork with all my info
on it ....before you hand over your keys! I ran in and took a copy of the order!

Sorry to hear about your mom. I remember sitting on the steps across the street and watching her wash the windows or sweeping the sidewalk. She was a nice lady.

I know it is very difficult when someone in the family has Dementia, Tom's mom had it.

I only wish you the best.

Suzie - Just got finished catching up on the blog & was saddened too hear about your Mom.... I feel so, so sorry that had to happen to her! God Love Her! You must have been horrified to get that call. Thank God she is alright. My prayers go out to the family & especially you & mom. I will be praying for a speedy recovery!

Margie - Where did all the years go??? You are truly missed! I hope you can see how much you were loved by family & friends alike..... Please give my love to everyone up there, especially Mom & Dad.... Rest in Peace!

Holy Mackerel! I did it again.... Terry maybe our relatives are doing this thing with the pictures... This is the second time this has happened to me where the picture came out gigantic.... and the second time it was a picture of Heaven... Go figure.. Kinda scary don't ya think?????

The Recipe of the Day...

Delicious Chicken with Popcorn Stuffing:
Here is a chicken recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing -
imagine that! When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out.

Give this a try.

1 Large chicken
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing
1 cup of uncooked popcorn
Salt & pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 220c.

Brush chicken well with melted butter, salt and pepper.
Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn.
Place in baking pan with the neck end towards the back of the oven.

Listen to the popping sounds.
When the chicken's arse blows the oven door open
and the chicken flies across the room, it is done.

And you thought I couldn't cook!!!

Here is some food for thought... I was thinking yesterday about our phone numbers when we were kids... They were exchanges... Mine was South which was SO..., or Hycent was HY, or Gedney was GE...
