Bed-Stuy Alive - Free Rock Music, Street Fair, Studio Tours
It's time for Bed-Stuy Alive! 2008.
I went to RestorationRocks last year and had a great time. This year Tamar-kali, '68, FunkFace, Faith, Muthawit, Manchildblack, and DJ Rainy will be there (I have no connection to any of them other than enjoying the music). It's in Restoration Plaza (Fulton between Brooklyn & NY Ave) from 1:00pm - 5:00pm on Saturday (October 11 2008). BeSAA says that there will be a street festival there too, and lots of other events through next week (see below).

I've written to the organizers to ask for information about the brownstone tour, about the start time for RestorationRocks, and about coupon booklets for the Restaurant Taste and the Shop. I might go to the Skylight Gallery, where BeSAA seems to be based, to see if there is information there. If anyone else has more details, please post them!

P.S. The last time I posted about an art event the mods said it smelled like shilling so I'm really nervous about posting this...
I do not profit from posting this, no one has asked me to, and I have no motive aside from wanting to share information about fun things happening in my neighborhood.
