Here's Park Slope.com
Subject: Here's Park Slope.com
Hey folks,I moved to Park Slope from Manhattan a couple years ago and immediately fell in love with it- the architecture, restaurants, people, history, everything. It feels like home. Last year I started up a blog called Here is Park Slope, but had to give it up due to personal reasons. Thankfully I've been able to re-start it as of last week, and it's now called Here's Park Slope.
My goal is to make it a real community gathering place, where everyone in the neighborhood can check in every day and find something interesting, be it a new building under construction, a restaurant review, business profile, opinion, or little history lesson.
I'd love to know what in particular you'd like the blog to focus on, or what you think it should be doing that it isn't. I've been following this board for a while and I really respect your opinions. All suggestions are welcome!
Thanks,
Dan

You're devoting your life to this blog?

I really like the "then and Now Thursdays".

I like your blog, especially "Then and Now Thursdays" as well as "Friday Food Porn." I wonder if you'd consider doing a theme a day, each focused on a different aspect of the neighborhood. That would be fun reading.

Why don't you post the "Then" on Thursdays and the "Now" on Saturdays. We can all guess. It can be like a game show with no prizes. -
This ^^^ but WITH prizes.

One step ahead of you! Each day will have its own theme soon, (Business profiles, for example), and I got a bunch of movie passes that I'll be holding contests to give out; name that "Then" spot is a great idea.

Thanks!
Every Monday I'll be featuring a local business, with an emphasis on mom and pop shops.
I was actually planning on talking about Slope Sports today, only to discover that they closed for good this morning. really sad, such a shame to see a legit family-owned business close, and I've shopped there and the service and quality was better than anything else you'll find in the neighborhood. -
I just found your blog today (my wife told me about it) and then found this thread. Weird.
I like the blog, and the food porn is cool too. So are the then and now pics. Nice job. -
