Complicated cat care?

first off, I have just discovered this site and I really really like it! I live on St. John's bet Wash and Underhill and really like my 'hood.

I am looking for someone to look after my cats, when I go away for weekends and vacations. One of them needs subcutaneous fluids, and the other needs a pill. And of course food, water etc.

I had a vet tech from Park Slope animal hospital for a while, but let her go when she did not come for two days, when I was on vacation.

Leads are much appreciated.

Sounds like you need to meet my roommate! We're on your block and I bet she'd be willing to give your cat a shot. My best friend has a cat with diabetes and I can't seem to bring myself to give the cat his shot

I'm in a similar situation and am using Sandee's catsitting service (http://home.earthlink.net/~crankgirl/index.html). They will also teach you how to administer the medication yourself.

I can help you out. I have to give one of my cats Sub-Q fluids every other day, and another one seems like she's on Clavamox almost all the time. Bladder infections!

My boyfriend and I can both handle it, so someone will be around when you're not. We're dedicated cat owners and extremely capable cat-sitters.
