can anyone recommend a good affordable massage? doesn't have to be in the 'hood. looking to pay no more than $75/hour.

if you are into a chinese body work (to me, it seems more about nerves and pressure points than working the muscles), go here:

went to amy there on a recommendation of a friend who goes to her once a week. she was great.

warning: this place is NO frills... dingy storefront, not too much privacy (4 ft partitions between tables), people chatting, etc. but it gets the job done and you can't beat the price: 1 hour for $42 ($50 with tip).

there is a place on 5th called D'mai Spa that does massages for, I think, pretty reasonable prices. I have only been there for manicures and eyebrow wax, but it's a really nice, relaxing spa. i would imagine a massage there would be just heavenly. alternatively, i know a great masseuse in manhattan who travels, though not usually to bkln, but you could go to his house if you prefer. if you want his info, please contact me privately.

Any other recommendations or experiences with local LMTs (Licensed Massage Therapists)?

A friend of mine just went to a place called OPAL on 158 5th Ave. between St. Johns Place and Lincoln. The LMT charged $80 for 70 minutes. She did an OK job but other recommendations would be appreciated.
