Hiking?

Bear Mountain. Right up the Hudson. Good size mountain and they got trails. If you want to venture further, the Catskills have plenty of hiking. Or go to Pennsylvania. Hickory Run is a great state park to hike in. You can get a hotel out there real cheap if you want to make a night of it. And they have drive-in theaters!

Thanks! I hiked Bear Mountain, and it was great! I am definitely planning to go back and explore more of the park... it is beautiful and huge and such a good break from the city, even for just the day.
