You could try Radio Shack on 7th Avenue & 5th Street (718 788 8130). I faintly recall buying cartridges from a Queens branch years ago.
BTW, if you're new to the neighborhood (welcome!), the old school site SmallTownBrooklyn is a great resource. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they're keeping the business listings up-to-date, but still great to have. -

in the future you should try ez-inkjets, http://www.inkjet5.com.
i've gotten generic cartridges for my printer for under $5, and since i'm not printing anything that needs fancy pantone-matched colors, etc., it's a great price. -
