  • Cocotte or Tempo (but that's a bit pricier)

  • I've only been once, but I agree about Convivium. My wife and I ended up there one night when we were looking for a relaxed meal and they seated us downstairs, but warned us there was a somewhat loud b-day party going on down there. As it turned out, the food and the waiter were great and the party, even though loud, was comprised of nice folks (they gave us glow sticks!). It's a haul from where I live in the South Slope, but I'd definitely return without hesitance. The "wine cellar-y" downstairs would probably be really cozy if it wasn't overpopulated.

Other "romantic" places: Little D if you can get seated against the brick wall and Applewood if you can get by the fire. Haven't been to Tempo, but have heard good things. Park Slope, surprisingly, isn't a haven for romantic eating spots.
