By Thursday submit concerns about Ratnerville
There was a well=attended, vocal Prospect Place block assn. meeting last night devoted to the latest Ratnerville developments. Anyone who wants to get their voice heard in what will likely be one of the only public hearings should email and snail mail their concerns to: [email protected].
Atlantic Yards Planning and Development
Empire State Development Corp.
633 Third Avenue New York NY 10017.
Email must be sent and snail mail postmarked by this Thursday.
The focus of this input should relate to environmental impact, but it seems that that is a broad category.

In spite of the fact that the development will double the population of Prospect Heights, the ESDC does not plan to study the impact of the Atlantic Yards development on police services. Yet, the Atlantic Yards will most certainly impact staffing and response times.
The ESDC needs to hear from the community that this is an issue that needs to be covered in the EIS. -
Everyone in attendance at the Prospect Place Block Association meeting 10/24 expressed deep concern about the impact of the proposed Ratner project. At the previous meeting on the same subject, the association was split 50-50. We came up with this statement: www.RaulRothblatt.com/docs/ProspectPlBlockEISLtr.doc regarding the project, and I encourage everyone to submit their responses to the Empire State Development Corporation in the next few days.

Our next gathering is a party on December 11 from 4-7 pm. If there are pressing concerns, I guess we can deal with it, and after our last meeting, I hope we can continue to have more dialogue among us all.
...uh, I guess that sounds really crunchy granola, but what the heck!
