playing frogger at the food-coop
I love this story.
A lady found a live frog in her organic lettuce at the park slope food coop.

omigod, cute!

If she's a vegan, can she sue them for trying to sneak meat down her gullet?
And what are the ethics of snatching frogs from their rightful homes to be "bought" like some kind of animal slave? And what about the damage to the ecosystem of importing non-native frogs into Kings County?
Someone should notify PETA so they can organize a picket against this exploitative practice of bundling frogs with lettuce! -

Ok, that's much worse than the time I was washing my lettuce and it was full of caterpillars. There is organic and then there is yucky.

That's pretty funny. It is gross, but I guess it speaks to the quality of the food if the little frog could live there that long.
But what's up with the photo of the daughter? Is that a reinactment? I thought they found it at home after several days in the fridge, but the girl looks like she is standing in a pet food store. Maybe it is the animal facility that they gave the frog to.
Also, why the need to point out she doubles as a stage actres?
Wow, I really need more to do today
Oh and I think it's funny that the dad was worried that the girl would not be able to give the frog propper care... wait, didn't it just survive living in lettuce in the person's fridge? -
