Subject: Amy Ruth's opening date is announced

According to The Brooklyn Paper, Amy Ruth's will open on February 14th:

The article linked above discusses their temporary lack of a liquor license. This is interesting, as the Amy Ruth's in Harlem doesn't sell liquor! Regardless, I'll be thrilled to get some Amy Ruth's happiness without having to trek up to Harlem. :)

    enjoyed the (very minor) hilarity of seeing the guy from Elementi quoted as the restaurant expert.
    That Gersh is quite a card!

    I know Amy Ruth's is a newish soul food place, does "Morning Star Restaurant Group" mean it's a corporate concoction? I suppose I should go look it up on Chowhound or something....

    As far as I know it's not open yet, at least as of this weekend (when I was dying for some C&W and couldn't get my fix!!)

    I still have wet dreams about Rosco's Chicken and Waffle in LA.

    There used to be one on Brooklyn and Church, but I think it might have closed. I doubt they're related to the L.A. franchise though.

    Mamacita......until Amy Ruths opens, try Ruthies Chicken and Waffles at her dine in restaurant on Myrtle Ave ( called SUnrise)off Emerson. It is pretty good and only ten bucks and some change.

    I'm taking it that Amy Ruth's still hasn't opened, then? Sheesh! At this rate, my 2-month old daughter will be a preschooler before they open! ;)
