Great lunch in the slope?

Who has a great lunch in the slope now. I usually just go out for dinner but am meeting a client on Wednesday in the slope.

  • I cant remember the name of the place but the Italian place that's on the same block as Sette but the corner closer to 9th st (it's either 7th ave and 2nd st or 3rd st...cant remember) has a really great lunch special. That was super vague but if you walk down there you'll know what I'm talking about!
  • In the South Slope, Cafe Steinhoff...14th St and 7th Ave.

The Mrs and I lunch there every Sunday. Grab a glass of the Gaffell!
  • ^Oo +1 to that. I lurve that place. The mushrooms and dumplings at lunch are a-mazing
  • Fish Camp.
  • It depends on what you and your clients like. I have not had a bad lunch here (bad dinners, yes -- and at the same places that serve good lunch). My only less than wonderful lunches happened at Kiku on 5th Avenue and Rice on 7th Avenue, when waitresses gave me the wrong things. La Taqueria on 7th Avenue can be too casual and crowded for meeting clients. At most places that I've had lunch at on 7th Avenue -- Oshima, Beet, Mango, Lemon Grass Grill, Tutta Pasta, etc. -- the staff has bent over backwards to please customers.
  • Subject: good lunch place

tutta pasta and sotto voce are good
