BeerTable open in south slope...

My girlfriend and I stopped in on opening night.
Basically, it's small, pretty cool looking, and features three taps and a good sized menu of bottled beers. The owners seen great and down to earth, so I wish them well. That being said...
I have to wonder about the prices. Beers there average between 8 and 12 dollars a bottle, with lots of high end options topping out at somewhere near $47 a bottle. Now, of course, these are fancy imports, and I have to say, I thought I knew something about beer before walking in the door, but now, I can safely say I'm pretty damn ignorant. I had a couple of beers that I never heard of and tasted like no beer I've ever had, so if you really are looking for a unique tasting experience, this is the place for you. However, I'm not sure what kind of crowd will frequent this place. The girlfriend and I both agreed that this is the kind of place we'd come back to if we just wanted a couple of drinks after going out to dinner on 7th, but it's not a "invite a bunch of friends, grab a table, and settle in for a night of drinking" kind of place.
I'm not sure what kind of crowd will generate the revenue they need to stay open. -

Darn. I was hoping they'd also offer a few lower priced options ($5-6) like DBA on 1st ave has. I'm sure I'll still check it out, but like you said, I probably won't spend the whole night there.

Thanks for the info! Anyone try the food (if they're still doing food, that is)? -

I had a German smoked beer, wish I could remember its name, that had a heavy almost meaty flavor. -

hahahahah nice -
Ive never been there but most the time when a beer is exspesnive (say around $10) the abv is through the roof. So I guess if you want to get drunk it works out price wise.

Is there only beer or do they have wine as well?
