Dermatologist in the slope?

Stay away from Teppler on PPW. He and his staff are rude and you really never see him anyway, it's usually a PA instead.
If you can travel, I use a great dermatologist on Ocean Ave betw. Aves. T and U, Dr. Lina Plantilla. She successfully treated my roseacea whereas Teppler was unsuccessful. She's a lovely woman who will take as much time with you as necessary to explain the condition and the treatment.
Her number is (718) 934-7373. -
I know one in Brooklyn Heights - I've been going to him for years and I think he's great.
Dr. Sourab Choudhury
161 Atlantic Ave (right near Clinton)
718-797-5504 -
Here also it the link for Sourab Choudhury. Looks great too.

Mark Tesser is a friend of ours from way back.
More to the point, he is a terrific doctor. Some years ago, on our younger daughter's ninth birthday, he diagnosed her as having lupus... an incurable and potentially very dangerous illness.
He helped us keep our anxiety (suicide, anyone?) in check for the 24 hours it took for the test results to come back showing that she had the far less serious form of the illness.
He was not only accurate in his diagnosis but also sensitive and wise in his handling of the situation. -
Subject: Park Slope Dermotologist
I see Dr David Frankel who is located at the Methodist Hospital right above the barnes & Nobles. His number is 718-369-3559. He really know his stuff and does not try to sell plastic surgery or Botox. -
Dr Frankel is a really fine doc and knows his stuff. I use him and can recommend him without reservation. The office staff is cold but moves patients through by real appointments. You won't wait an hour before seeing the doc and he does take all the time necessary to make you feel comfortable and treat you properly. That is rare the way medicine is practiced today.

I also see Dr. Frankel. He's a good doctor, although doesn't spend much time in the room with you. But...it's easy to get an appointment and you don't wait long in the waiting room. I trust him as my dermatologist.

Dr. Frankel is the best. He's right by the Barnes and Noble on 7th.
