Place to refill propane?

I know I can trek down to lowes, but is there anywhere closer to the slope where I can refill (or trade I guess) a propane tank for a grill?

  • Lowes or Home Depot.
  • Exchange canisters at your local hardware store.
  • You can get propane at Pinchek but I am not sure if its only seasonal

    for real?
u telling me that Leopoldi's fills propane tanks or more correctly exchanges empty for fill?

I don't think so.. but would be willing to be wrong.
  • No hardware stores in the slope seem to refill or exchange canisters (some offered to sell me some "little blue tube" canisters, I have no idea what that means.)
I ended up trekking down to lowes- fyi, apparently I'm an idiot and didn't think of this, but you cant take empty canisters on a bus. OK I guess that sort of makes sense, but I drive with them all the time...I totally got yelled at by a B75 bus driver :(
  • Sorry if my advice was faulty. I assumed they'd carry them - guess there's not enough people grilling out there.

"Usually" hardware (and some grocery) stores sell them on an exchange basis.

As to that bus driver, I'd bet they haul plenty of folks toting oxygen carts without snapping at them...
