Well if that is indeed true....

I find that hard to believe. Didn't somebody post a $25k slice with some special truffles or some such nonsense on here several months back? I doubt they can beat that. I know there is a $1k pizza on the upper east side with caviar and whatnot.
  • I think that they are the most expensive "regular" slice, so cheese and sauce (and perhaps basil) but no toppings. $4 per slice which is crazy since I can still recall being able to get 2 slices and a soda for $1.25.
  • Over priced and over rated. That's my opinion and I've been eating pizza in Brooklyn all my life and I'm 54.
  • We went there once shortly after moving to the neighborhood. The pizza was really good, but we didn't think it was worth waiting in line for an hour. Maybe we're just extremely impatient people, but we haven't found it worthwhile to return there.

As for the price... after that long wait, why get slices? If it's DiFara, I would go for a whole pie!
  • It's very good pizza but not worth the frustration, wait, hassle, etc. Personally, I'd rather go to Coney Island for Totonno's.
