  • My wife and I occasionally lunch at (sorry, bad name recall here) at that German place on 7th Ave and 13th street.

Certainly not a light lunch, but really good if you like that kind of thing.

    The Steinhoff?

If you like Japanese food, Yamato at Seventh Avenue and 1 Street has really good food and a nice lunch special.

Sette (Italian) at 3rd Street also does.
  • 2nd Ave. Cafeee....oh, wait.

Cafe Steinhof is great. Is Bar toto open for lunch?

    The Steinhoff?

Yes, Cafe Steinhoff, that's it. Thank you.
  • i've had a nice, laid back weekday lunch at perch.
  • How about Magnolia?
Does anyone know if it's open for lunch during the week?
  • I like coco roco for lunch.. service is faster than evenings because it is often quite empty. I think they do more take out than eat in on weekdays.
  • Press 197 or Red Hot (lunch special!) are good.
  • Kiku on 5th ave has a GREAT lunch special and just awesome food and service in general!
  • Subject: Moutarde

I think Moutarde is also open for lunch/brunch during the week. Excellent food and the staff is so nice. Plus its like being in Paris for an hour or so. They're on 5th Ave and Carroll Street.

I like going to Aunt Suzie on 5th Ave for brunch. They have a buffet for around $15 which includes fresh crepes, waffles, omelets and a bunch of other dishes. I usually come back from this place stuffed!

Helios on 6th ave near Flatbush - Greek and very good (good burgers too).
