Costume idea
I have some ideas for Halloween costumes, but I need some help with executing them. For example, if you were to dress up as Intelligent Design, how would you do it?
All suggestions welcome, and feel free to steal any ideas you see here.

I would dress up as a door, and put a lock on it.

I am going as "The Lowest Common Denominator." I've recorded a bunch of middle-class bromides like "If 'ifs' and 'buts' were candy and nuts...," "Take it easy," and "This is better than sex!." Little tape player in my jacket, then get implausibly drunk.

What about being The Flying Spaghetti Monster/ a Pastafarian? That was my favorite response to the Intelligent Design stuff. And it'd be fun to create that costume.

The children's parade on 7th Ave (yeah the other side of Fatbush) is pretty hilariously fun and adorable, even if one detests children. -

I was a Pimp Mama one year and that was a pretty fun costume. I got most of the accessories at Party City. Last year I didnt have much time to put together a costume so I took a deck of cards and arranged them in a pyramid shape on a sweat suit and I was a house of cards -

thank-you for reminding me to avoid this! eeek! -
I'm thinking about being a dirty nun. Not that it's THAT creative, but I figure you have to be a dirty nun at least one Halloween in your life.

I haven't had a good halloween costume since I was the devil fairy princess.

Thanks. Maybe this year I'll get it together earlier than the day before Halloween!

Any particular kind? I was thinking an unarmed undercover nark or CIA agent might be a scarier costume than a plain-clothes traffic warden.

I had a friend do the hurricane idea a few years back as part of a group of friends dressed as different natural disasters. The hurricane featured model houses, trees and animals hooked to floating wires affixed back to her body. Her whole body was wound up in cotton batting and she carried a concealed tape recorder with sounds of wind and thunder.

I dressed up as Smurfette one time. It's actually shockingly easy to get a full blue body suit. Just go to a dance store. -
My brother and his friends were the Arabian Peninsula one year. They each had cardboard cutouts of their country, complete with fact sheets, etc.
