FYI, the phone number above belongs to GoDaddy.com (did a reverse lookup), which hosts RateMyCop.com and has shut the site down:

Guest, I would think folks at a big web hosting company would understand that posting a link to an Internet forum does not mean you're the site owner.

All the "ratemy" sites are fairly entertaining. Ratemymullet, ratemycameltoe, ratemypoo...

But ratemycop actually has some redeeming value.

I prefer to Rate Camel toe, sometimes when I'm feeling really crazy I go for Rating Moose Knuckle.

Low pay does not explain everything. There's a lieutenant, a detective and a retired cop cited among these lawbreakers. Clearly they were not just recently hired. These guys are simply crooks wearing blue uniforms and carrying badges. Luckily, these folks do not represent the entire police force, but clearly, corruption remains alive at NYPD.
