  • I love my "granny cart". My fiance and I call it the B.A.C. - "Big Ass Cart". We got a big one. Yup. Got it at Pintchiks, which, by the way, could be the world's most expensive/overpriced hardware store.

  • so, does anyone use URBAN ORGANICS?!

organic produce delivery based in brooklyn, small company... good compromise?
  • I used Urban Organics for a while.

They use as much cardboard as FD, and their prices came out to way worse. Also, according to them organic seems to mean small and covered in dirt. You also could not specify delivery times with any certainty, which can be a huge problem.

Maybe they have improved since I used them.

to avoid having to type out a long, protracted explanation, let me jsut say that urban organics sucks ass.

it was good... the rare times we actually got our stuff on time, as opposed to the majority of the times that we found it out on our stoop the next day, having sat all day (not good in summer/winter).

then there were the double/triple credit-card charges, the ignoring my calls when they missed two weeks of deliveries and charged me anyway...

i started paying with checks after the cc fiasco, which, in one case, took them TWO WEEKS to cash.

and their produce isnt even that good, though it was better than c-towns

I've been using the same one since 1994!

I'm using the same one I've had since I had a Pennysaver route in 1981! Top that!
