Seeking New Friends/ Social Group

I don't know if I am posting in the right area. (Maybe someone could guide/direct me, or give me some suggestions). I am a single, christian, african-american lady, 40, living in Crown Heights practically all of my life. I am from a decent family. My parents/family are from Central America. My grandparents were Caribbeans. By profession, I am a nurse. My problem is: I don't get out enough. I would like to enhance my social life. I am always bored and lonely. I would like to meet other interesting young people for weekend social activities such as: moovies, lunch, Broadway shows, shopping, outings, etc: Also, i am interested in meeting a group of people that travel every now and then. I want to see: California, Georgia, parts of Florida, New Jersey, and some other states; I am also interested in seeing some of the Caribbean Islands and other countries. I am adventuresome. Whether it be a little church group, or some other social group, if it fun, interesting, I am interested. Where is all the fun-loving , decent people in Brooklyn?
