Any recommendations for watches

I have 2 watches. One purchased online and one purchased out at King's Plaza. The one I bought online was a much better price that way (Citizen Eco Drive, slightly high priced watch to begin with).
What sort of watch are you looking for? Garry Jewellers on 5th Avenue has men's watches. I know they have Citizen, possibly Tag heuer too. not sure what other brands they carry. it's not a huge selection, though, I bet he would order something for you if you saw it in a catalogue.
You can try calling them-but, they are not open on Mondays. -
I like buying watches online too, as long as you know what you want. I bought my last watch on Amazon, as well as one for Mrs. C for her birthday.

Thanks...just looking for a nice men's watch...I ordered one and I kept being told it was in stock and was ready to be shipped and a week later my order was cancelled.(not from Amazon)..I'll check out the local jewelry stores (if I can't find anything I can always run to Macy's).
Thanks again -
Here's the site I bought my Citizen from. Very good prices, nice selection, free shipping, yada, yada:

Tourneau is the best store. not sure if there's one in brooklyn. theyre all over manhattan though. -
How much do you want to spend?
-

I made the purchase from Princeton Watches (thanks for the tip). Good price, no tax and only $3.00 for 2-day shipping (and yes, it shipped the same day I ordered it). Very impressive...Good prices and great return policy as well

what kind of watch did you get?
-
Yeah-when i was buying my watch, i looked at tons of online site and they were by far the best!
i am curious too-what watch did you end up buying? -
beware of online watch sellers. a lot of these places are not licensed to sell watches and you don't really know what you're buying.
-
I am sure there are lots of scammers out there, but Princeton Watches is fine.
-
I got a Citizen Eco watch (no battery needed). Princeton is fine...they're an authorized dealer and you get the full warantee. I also like their return policy...no re-stocking fee, you just pay shipping. So, if hubby doesn't like it, not a big deal to pick another one.
Would highly recommend this site, thanks again for the referral Long Time Sloper -

Best store for what? I suppose if you want to drop $5,000 to $10,000 on a watch they'll take good care of you but my experience with them has been really mixed Most of the people at the 57th st store seem to have sticks up their..... but when I needed a repair I went to several places who said my watch couldn't be repaired or they looked like they were going to damage it until I got to the Tourneau on 34th St where the repair guy fixed it in 2 minutes and didn't charge me.
If I wanted an inexpensive Casio I'd go to that little store on 5th ave between 9th and 10th that has all the games. A nice mid priced watch, say a Citizen or Seiko, I think Fortunoff is a good bet. I've bought watches there a couple of times and been very happy we got our wedding rings there too.
I got my vintage Omega Automatic from this guy
