Anyone reading A New Earth?

Yea, yea, I know its Oprah's book club thing, that's how I found out about it. No, I'm not in Oprah's demographic of 50 and up (not that there's anything wrong with that).

But, I have to say that I've found this to be a very interesting book. I've learned a great deal about myself and those around me and I'm only in the 4th chapter. I'm wondering if anyone else out there in Brooklynianland is reading it and what they've gotten from it.

I don't want to do the Oprah website chat room (not my style), but would definitely like to discuss how others have either noticed the "change from within" (stop laughing!) or how they've noticed the ever-present "ego" in yourself and those around you, and how you're trying to evolve beyond it.

I have had it for three weeks now and have not touched it. So, if I can get through some of it this weekend, I will let you know.

The fact that you have read up to ch 4 and it has had a positive effect is promising.

Wow- finally a response! lol.

Hi Darla- the first 2 chapters will definitely not be the ones to suck you in, so keep that in mind. I scoffed my way through those, but by the 3rd....stuff starts to make a lot of sense.
