Has anybody ever covered up an old tattoo? I've got one that's almost 11 years old and I'd rather cover it up than get laser removal. I'm looking for a good recommendation of an individual or a parlor.

Dude, I don't even think they were out when I was in high school, but yeah, anything would be cooler than what my 17 y.o. self chose to mark on my body for the rest of my entire friggin' life.
  • hey, i'll do you up sometin nice with a bic pen and a safety pin. holla back if you want me to etch something biblical over your old tat. i can also do names and gang symbols.
  • When Johnny Depp was dating Winona Ryder, he had a "Winona Forever" tattoo.

Years later--after he broke up with her--he had the "na" removed from the end of "Winona" and it now reads "Wino Forever."

The moral of the story. I don't know.

But maybe you can mod the tattoo to be someting new and creative.

Come on Lirio, tell us what it is and we can all make suggestions for how to make it up to date. The winner gets to choose his or her monopoly piece first at the next game at Soda.

BTW, if it was ZOFO, just keep it as a classic. If it's that cat from the Paula Abdul video, I'd say you're better off with laser removal.

I actually grabbed her card a few years ago when I was thinking about another tattoo -- her work is gorgeous! of course, I didn't go to her -- I got drunk in san francisco and found a tattoo parlor there! :)
  • Subject: recommendation

I whole-heartedly recommend FLY RITE - Metropolitan Ave in Williamsburg. They were professional, helpful and well, just plain cool.
