Open House for Teen Summer Improv Intensive

Peoples Improv Theater (aka The PIT) has offered unparalleled improv, writing and elective classes to adults in New York City for over five years (they just celebrated their Five Year Anniversary), and now they are extending their programming to include a 2-week Summer Intensive for Teens. The intensive will take place August 4-15, with classes meeting Mondays thru Fridays from 2-5 PM.

To introduce the community to the program, The PIT will be hosting an open house for all interested teens and their families. The open house will take place on Saturday, May 3, from 10 am to noon. Students and their families will have an opportunity to visit The Peoples Improv Theater, where the classes will take place. The PIT's managing director Katie Goan and the Kids/Teen program coordinator and instructor will be there to answer any questions they have about the program. Students will also be able to participate in a sampling of the games and exercises offered in the new program.

The class culminates with a professional graduation show for family and friends at The PIT. Students in the Teen Program will have the opportunity to audition for a new Teen Improv House Team that will perform weekly at The PIT.
