Are you dissing Cringe Night? If so, you are way off base. It's probably just an inside joke I don't get.

I was born off base. Yes, I was being sarcastic. I am completely out of the Freddy's loop. -
Any chance anyone will be going to your mom? I've really been wanting to check her out since I moved here, but I haven't had a good excuse. I've heard she has great drink specials and she lets you bring food in.

I'm always willing to pay your mom a visit. She's cheap and she likes her liquor, I'll give her that. I get a little weirded when she takes out her teeth, but in the end, it's all good, believe you me.
If you see her before I do, let her know the check's gonna be a couple days late. Papi Chulo gotta pay them bills. -

Yay Freddy's!
But, I just realized...is our drunken carousing going to have to be all subdued because of the reading series thing? -
looking forward to meeting you all

Seriously. Drunk and quiet are mutually exclusive.

I feel like that's going to be a problem, at least for me.

If you want to hear/participate in Cringe night, go to the back room where it's held. If you want to talk during that time, stay in the front room. It's a win/win.

Ah cool. James coming through with the info!

does freddy's have food?

alafairnadia wrote: does freddy's have food?
No, but they don't mind it if you bring food in. I've even seen people have deliveries brought there. -
I'm not sure when I'll get there. I have to meet other people in Manhattan first, then, hopefully, eat something. I'll call somebody to find out where you all are.
-
I'll be there midnight-ish.
Nybt, you have escaped your fate once again... -
I won't be getting there til around 8:45 or 9. and I'll be stopping somewhere for comida before I wander in.

I voted for Mooney's! Wait a second... didn't you change your 'your mom' vote to Mooney's, too?! Was that figured in to the tally?! I think we have a tie... :?
Nybt, you have escaped your fate once again... -
I voted for Soda but wanted to change it to Mooney's after that whole conversation...but I'm home sick today and definitely not venturing out anyway, so my vote probably shouldn't count. Unless the powers-that-be want to count it as a tiebreaker regardless

Who's monitoring the recount? :P
-
I was out last night for a colleague's birthday and the German's last night in town. It was a night that saw a lot of me standing rounds, falling off bar stools, and later, sitting on the subway saying "Come on Cupcake, don't puke. Don't puke. Keep it together."
So I'll be coming, but it may be a Diet Coke night for me. -

That was me all day last Thursday. Tonight's rule: no fancy drinks. I'll stick with cider and [liquor] + [mixers]. I'm still kinda queasy just thinking about the pain I was in. -

Shall I do a tiebreak poll or shall we just say, this late in the day, Freddy's tonight and Mooney's definitely next week? -

I think that makes sense. We don't want people showing up at the wrong place because it got switched after the last time they checked. -

Death, taxes, getting your ass kicked by nybt in darts... :P
Don't know my status for tonight- My stint in management is over  , so I'm back to the 100% commission  I'm staying at the office until I've made it worth coming in. -
Gotta say, while I had a good time and got drunk enough that I needed alafairnadia to run interference on my walk home, I'm not really that big on Freddy's.
HOWEVER, we did bust a new DH'r, except now I can't find their screen name. Anyway, new DH drinkers are always good. -

Dude, you all left sooooo early, just getting home. I believe the new DH'ers were dan.h + birthday boy (name withheld in case of um privacy and shit like that) as well as RAH.

You forget that I'm the guy that shows up each week at 6:30 and represents the DH in case any new people show or whatever, so by the time midnight rolls around, I'm pretty shitfaced or at least starting negotiations with a serious hangover (which I am flying high and proud this wretched morning) and all you wild and crazy kids walking in at 8, 9 or later still have steam. -

Steam schmeam. Blah blah blah. Fine you win. But I'm equally proud of my hangover. Ain't nothing like driving my shit-ass commute to Jersey while having bizarre I-need-caffeine-and-not-to-consume-so-many-drinks-on-a-school-night convulsions. The sun's out and I don't even get to see it from my putty colored cube. And I just glared at the receptionist daring her to say shit about my being late, again. What you mean 9:29 isn't the same thing as 9am? -

Damn, what time did you go home? I had to walk Marc's ass home. Oh and good times, Freddy's hits up the buy back on drink 4, but I agree with Dave I'm just not feeling Freddy's as a hotspot.
Howdy, Stranger!
