Watcha got against chocolate? Don't want another tummy ache Thursday morning?

I don't want to, you know, die! (I'm allergic...and probably as not as much as I used to be, but to me, chocolate = hives and/or death)

    Holy moley, that sucks.

It's all chocolate. All 4 bags.
Mounds, Nestle Crunch, Butterfinger Crisp and M&M Peanut.

Carnivore, you know you is my friend, right? And you know what makes the cupcake happy? :)

Sugar! Sugar! Chocolate! Give it up man :!:

Pretty please :?:  How about a little quid pro quo

I bought 4 bags of miniature candy bars in preparation, since my building is teeming with kids. Then not a single trick-or-treater came! What's up with that? Now I have to eat 4 bags of candy!!!

As if eating four bags of candy is suffering. 8)

OK, I'll bring candy. But I won't be there until around midnight, so you'd better stick around!
  • Oh, but midnight is past my bedtime. And I was so looking forward to a nybt and Carnivore showdown at the Darts board. Well, maybe Daveb will volunteer to slap me every half hour to keep me awake. :(

Don't worry- if it does go down, it's not going to be very exciting... just a good ol' fashioned ass kickin'... but it could be the start (finally!) of the bar game pentathlon!!!

I'm sure there'll be some emergency last-minute puppy rescue that prevents nybt from showing up. Don't worry, Cupcake, you won't miss a thing.

The only puppy in need of rescue tomorrow night will be you! 8)

I think Mooney's has a pool table too, so we can take care of 40% of the bar game pentathalon. 8)

    Do they? :?
  • I don't think they do...could be wrong, but I can't picture it.

I don't think they do either. We had 7 or so trick o treaters and gave each of them a ton of candy... happy to report no eggs and we gave our taco delivery guy candy as well.

Hmmm....... We may have to cross Flatbush to hit Brownstone Billiards for the second leg of the challange.

  • What the heck was the challenge again? It's been months since anyone has even mentioned all that.

Also, I didn't see a single egg or shell at all yesterday. I was kinda disappointed yet relieved since reading the board had me all paranoid. :?

Darts, pool, table tennis (ping-pong to the uncouth), bowling, air hockey.

When I saw those kids flinging eggs at the lady in the van, I had the 'you make hulk angry! grraaaahhh!!!' rage ready at a moment's notice!

Really? Several portions of Park Place between the shuttle and Flatbush were definitely well-slimed this morning. You were lucky :)

I actually totally avoided that way. I did a stopover at the Target mall and then took the B45 to my corner.
  • I was dressed up as Matthew Lesko, the guy from the infomercials (free government money to pay your bills, etc.), and was sure that a question mark suit would be an invitation for an egging, or trouble of some sort. But there wasn't even a tense moment on my walk to the Eastern Parkway station. I was a little sad that I didn't have the chance to deflect an egg with my fake Matthew Lesko book.

I hope you took some pics. You would be PERFECT as that guy!

I met him at a party once and he wore the costume. It was genius. He was a FREAK!!! I think he was busted by the gov't a few years back for fraud. Whatev. Great costume idea!
  • There were a ton of trick-or-treaters on Sterling between Vanderbilt and Underhill between 4pm and 7pm. We sat on a friend's stoop and watched her run out of candy even after adopting a "I only give to little kids" policy. I think you have to advertise a little to let people know that you're willing to give out (decorations, lights clearly on, sitting on your stoop). No one rang the bell of our multi-unit building.

The whole thing on Sterling was actually really heartwarming to me. It was real neighborhoody.
  • It was also very pleasant on Sterling between Washington & Underhill. This is my 14th Halloween here and I've only ever had one egging incident when someone egged a bunch of houses on the block. Try scraping dried raw egg off a window screen. Ick.
