The Specials are reuniting for a tour

The video is low-budget incredible. Will keep an eye out for tour dates.
I wish I hadn't learned so much about ska after knowing the Specials first. I wouldn't call the Specials a cover band, but some of their greatest moments were basically pulled directly from their ska heroes. -
It must be in the water or something.
We just watched the DVD of This Is England, so it was all ska all the time at my house this weekend.
Not sure what it would be like to go to one of these shows tho. A friend took me to a Dave Wakeling/English Beat revival show at S.O.B. and it was just lame.
This album however is not lame.

Yeah, sometimes it can be a total letdown to see how your heroes have fallen.
I saw Lee Scratch Perry put on the worst show ever when he was way past his prime (still a while ago- at The Wetlands, for those of you who remember). My friend had the same experience with Desmond Dekker. -

ewww, Mr Late 80s
for a second there, I thought you were refering to Skrewdriver
which was distressing since they were one of those creepy sh*thead racist Oi groups that grew out of the decidedly two tone anti-racist ska revival led by the Specials.wikipedia wrote: Skrewdriver was a punk rock band formed in Blackpool in 1976 by Ian Stuart Donaldson. They later changed into a skinhead band, and then became one of the first white power rock bands, playing a leading role in the far right Rock Against Communism movement.

I'll have you know I'm Mr. Early 90s.

The Specials tour would be fab - if they do it well of course.
If you hear any news on dates, please post 'em!
