How to support congestion pricing — Brooklynian

How to support congestion pricing

Since I think these addresses will get lost in the discussion thread on CP, I wanted to start a separate thread of how to actually take action. Instead of emailing each other, why not email your representatives. let them know what you think works and doesn't work in the congestion pricing plan!

Our state assembly representative is:
James Brennan, 44th District: [email protected]
718-788-7221
518-455-5377

James Brennan supports congestion pricing but wants to introduce a bill with some changes.....one being the fact that New Jersey residents won't be paying the toll (how unfair is THAT?)

Speaker Sidney Sheldon does NOT support the congestion pricing bill.
Sidney Sheldon, Speaker, [email protected]

  • YAY for Sheldon!

all of those out there who do NOT support congestion pricing-please call those numbers also and make sure your reps know how you feel!

  • Obviously James Brennan is not in fact the state assemblyman for Fort Greene/Clinton Hill or Bed-Stuy. Velmanette (sp?) Montgomery represents much of the area.
  • I knew I was getting something wrong - Jeffries is the assemblyman - Montgomery is the state senator. The site above (in Brennan post) actually has great info in figuring it out. I guess it shows a lot either about my lack of political participation or the sorry state of NY state government that this wasn't clear to me. Why do we have a bicameral legislature any way? Seems pretty duplicative.
