  • so far from the responses :p or lack of, yes you are or there is alot of guys watching in shame and silence :p.
  • We watched part of one the other day.....
  • It's strangely addicting - like those VH1 shows.

btw, your dog is adorable :-)
  • I have a TV, but I have no cable or channels. But I checked out Tattoo: A Love Story from the library.

  • My wife gave it a shot and dropped it after the first ep. I was in the same room and what I was hearing basically made me say, "Yup, this is why the rest of the country loves New Yorkers so much." I wasn't tempted to start watching.

But I will cop to watching Rock of Love. That's some real crap right there.

Herve Villechaize acts the hell out of that movie.

"You are a sad, strange little man, and you have my pity."
  • @ Flexi - thank you! I love the new pic of your kitties :-)

Unsure if I'll watch more "...Housewives...NYC" unless I'm at the gym and Bravo has a marathon. (Treadmill TVs are great for guilty reality programming) I admit to being both fascinated and a little revolted....esp by the pricetags that kept popping up in the lower corner of the screen: "Average price of Upper East Side Townhouse: $5.2mm".

Is the Orange Cty version similar?
  • One of those kitties is on my lap right now and the other is licking his ears :-)

I never watched the OC version, but I'm sure if there's a marathon I'll be hooked ....also watching Celebrity Fit Club and occasionally Rock of Love (bad, bad, bad)....I'm into Top Chef too.

What can I say? I was sick at home for weeks!
  • I've been watching it. not as bad as the OC version - so far no plastic surgery or botox. I do hate that the one couple from brooklyn are so fucking pretentious.
  • ^ I agree w/r/t the Brooklyn couple. I remember feeling a bit sad that they live here.

    And: we love Top Chef.

That Brooklyn couple is scary. They met online, got together immediately and never leave each other's sides. I can't wait to see when her (gay?) husand shows up at their girls' night out next week
  • Also hate the BK couple (anyone notice they have like, NO friends???).

I do kinda like the Countess though- she's my friend in my head!

We are also a Top Chef/Project Runway household.
  • I like the Countess too, and sometimes like the redhead (even though her chihuahua was licking her nostrils last show).

That single chick is annoying. Her BF is "just not that into her"

I KNOW!!!! lol- it's freakin AWESOME to watch her get polluted in each episode! She's a total alcoholic! Bitch is a hot mess.

    her jaw scares me.
  • You guys are all part of some club that I don't know the secret handshake to.

Not that I want to be in your stupid club anyway.

  • /slowly walks away from this thread.

    /runs
  • Rock of Love: I turn it on, turn it off, horrified, and then for some reason have to turn it back on again. It's bizarre. Luckily I don't know when it's on, and didn't watch from the beginning, so it's only a momentary madness.

Real Houswives of NY: I think the countess is as bad as the rest of them, she just knows how to play cool n' classy. Have you noticed how she loves seeing the redhead and the blonde fight, but acts like she doesn't understand it? What neighborhood in Brooklyn do the Brooklyn couple live in, do you think?

I like Top Chef, too. But this season I'm not yet rooting for anyone the way I was rooting for Marcel (sorry) last time. Maybe the girl with the curly hair...

    And Hell's Kitchen is back!
  • I think they are in Cobble Hill.

Ramona is very scary....just look at her eyes! I can't believe she stormed out of that dinner - then again, I can't believe Alex brought her husband on girls' night out.

What I can't believe most? That I just posted the above ;-)

really? I thought they were in bklyn heights.

and totally agree on both points, flexi, re: ramona & alex. ramona is clearly unhinged, alex is clearly a fuckin' freak.
  • they might be in BH, but I think it was mentioned in one of the early episodes. Either way, the house inside it a pit!

    srsly.

then again, I might spend a fortune on a purse but it lives in my crappy little place on the border of PH and CH so ...
  • have you seen this? scary and funny at the same time

I'm gonna go with more scary than funny. She makes me fearful. And her face freaks me out. You can only polish a turd so much...

And yes, her hubby is just as bizarre as she is.

I kindly thank you for this entertainment and I'm going to forward it to several people right now. Can't help myself!

Ha! I am DVR'ing the last episode from tonight. I'll watch it tomorrow.

I love how they met online (not that I haven't met people that way) and have been inseperable ever since.

Priceless. There's actually an arguement over what neighborhood gets to claim (or reject!) her.

I am strangely hooked on these weirdos and their lives. Between Alex and her nutty pseudo-gay husband I'm all set. Not to mention the countess and her self-important outrage at common introductions (how dare Jawbone Singleton introduce her to the driver as Luann!!).
  • Ack! I need a life, too.
I just goggled the show and spent half an hour reading the (mean) comments on a CobbleHill blog.
And then, yes, I even looked at the nudie pictures of Alex!
