It is in my book. And I'd like to crawl in a hole and die, thanks. I think I would've been alright if it wasn't for that lemon drop shot. Ugh. -

I feel great, I could have 8 more vodka drinks right here, right now. Oh and I was pissed last night, Crown Chicken had nothing last night, but for some reason I was compelled to get coleslaw that I didn't eat. -

Lemon drop shots, is that what that was?! All I know is, when I laid down around 3:30 the room was spinning and I had to sit up and watch tv. It was still on when I woke up at 7:15 and I felt like a drunkard as I stumbled to the bathroom. I'm going to have give my liver a serious pep-talk. -
There was a doughnut in the trash, I definitely looked at it for a little too long, oh man.

I just looked at it, I swear. Is the day over yet? -

Ok, well as long as that's all you did. But everybody knows you can eat your own food out of the garbage. It's like the 5 second rule. And no, the day has only just begun. But I will happily entertain you until it's over! -
lirio wrote: [quote=daveb]Gotta say, whule I had a good time and got drunk enough that I needed alafairnadia to run interference on my walk home, I'm not really that big on Freddy's.
Dude, you all left sooooo early, just getting home. I believe the new DH'ers were dan.h + birthday boy (name withheld in case of um privacy and shit like that) as well as RAH.
HOWEVER, we did bust a new DH'r, except now I can't find their screen name. Anyway, new DH drinkers are always good.
Yes yes I was one of the new DH drinkers
And I must say I do have a weird soft spot for Freddy's. -
Looks like I chose the right evening to get detained by my knitting friends and not be able to make it.

Whattayatalk, it was great fun, as is measured by my hangover. -
....... ..............
Wow. That was a really great time. Definately feeling the pain right now though. I've grown to love the part right before you try to get into the shower in the morning when you splash some water on your face, lift your head up and see a grotesque alcoholic staring you down in the mirror.
It was nice to meet you guys! -
dan.h wrote: It was nice to meet you guys!
I second that, though remembering names and screen names while drunk is a little much for someone who when sober rarely manages to get names right. So expect me to need reintroductions.... -

That cheese looks good, yum.
Nice to meet both of you too! -

Myself and this freakazoid were the ones who walked home with you last night. -

Dave calling someone else a "freakazoid?" I think there's a pot and kettle somewhere getting introduced...

I'll be your freakazoid, come on and wind me up!
uh
what time did dan.h show up? cause we left at like 11:45 or something. did carnivore ever show? I DEMAND DETAILS!
and yeah, I'm not into Freddy's at all. that place is fuckin' far away. nice jukebox, tho. I would stay later if it were CLOSER. beh. -
alafairnadia wrote: I'll be your freakazoid, come on and wind me up!
Carnivore got there after midnight. Dan.h and friend were there before you guys left I think, but they were being scaredys at the bar. Freddy's was okay...but the strange amounts for drinks was too much for me. I need whole numbers...don't be throwing no quarters into the equation! My drunken brain can't handle it!

ahh. LAME! hiding at the bar. fraidy cat.
um. yes, $4.25? I either feel like a cheap ass tipping 75 cents or I over tip with $1.75. cause yo, I don't need those quarters weighing me down. beh.
Medusa deserves a special thank you for bringing wings. YUM. more reasons to go to Mooney's next week -- wing wagon! -

The wings were so good! And I can't wait for Mooney's! Dart board, not all the way across the neighborhood...
Has anyone tried those personal pizzas at that diner near Mooney's? I've seen a few people with the boxes, but I haven't thought to try it yet. -

mmmm. pizza. if they make a veggie version, it's a salad substitute! -

Whats up with this?? We introduced ourselves just as soon as we woke up our livers! Its a little awkward to blow the doors open at a bar youve never been to and start screaming for DH'ers... -

Admittedly, my brain is kinda fuzzy. But, any new person who does walk into the place screaming for DH'ers gets a drink from me, no doubt. -

True, which is part of the reason I haven't come yet (though mostly because I've been somewhat busy or sick every Wednesday since this party got started). Mooney's, though...that's familiar turf. I might actually show up next week, if my husband can be lured with promises of wings and darts (very likely). -
Well. I had a good time but I'm too old to wait up for Carnivore to get off of work. He did a good job of trying to catch up with us, though.
dan.h appeared after Carnivore arrived but I think he was there earlier but didn't know who we were or was shy (not that the vociferous laughter of Candisscima, katebklyn and lirio would intimidate any guy)
I like Freddy's, although not the Cringe thing. But I agree that it's generally too far away from home for most of the Dailyheights regulars. I'll try Mooney's next week (but will worry about the poor choice of beers on tap), but I think Soda is still the best place for us. -

It was my personal goal to be louder than daveb this week. I didn't even need to pound my fists on the table.

Carnivore was knocking them back like a sav! Good showing there! 8)

I *heart* Soda and have missed it these past couple of weeks, but it's been fun spreading the love through the neighborhood and going to places I probably never would have made it to on my own (like Freddy's and Mooney's next week). I think we're pretty much coming into the home stretch on our Bars of PH tour anyways. Mooney's, then Beast, and what else is there? -

I don't know about you guys. I spent many a night at Mooney's during baseball season and think that bar way sketchier than Freddy's. (Call me crazy but when the average age of the cliental is hovering around 55 I feel a little out of place.) Of course its close proximity to Wing Wagon does add bonus points...

As for tipping, the bartender at Freddy's, realizing that I am probably not this generous of a soul, kindly pointed out last night that I had left him a $10 tip when I meant to leave $1. He did offer to wash my windows for the $10
So DH was a procrastination device before, but now it's turned into a complete work stoppage... -

You have entered the dark side. There's no turning back now. 8) -

it's going to be tough to do a meetup at Beast -- they don't have a large bar area, and those tables are def. going to be for people having real sit down dinners, not a bunch of alcoholics scarfing down fried manchego bits with their wine.

and, if you're going to be fair, we also have to hit chocolate monkey, ripple, tavern on dean and half. if you are going to be fair.
Howdy, Stranger!
