For the second time this year I got a bill from EZ Pass for non-payment at a toll when I was not anywhere near the toll plaza in my car. What do I do about this? I paid the last one cause it was $4 but this is getting out of control. They seemingly can do whatever they want. They produced "proof" that I was at the toll the first time --- picture of my license plate --- but that could've been taken any time at any plaza. Should I call the Attorney General?

    are you saying that you HAVE an EZPass but that you were not there on the day in question?

    or

    you DO NOT have an EZPass and that they claim you evaded the toll?

    If they have a picture of your plate at the toll plaza, how could they be wrong? Are you saying they are double-billing?

    I use EXPass for my business trucks and have found it to be accurate. Occassionally they charge the higher rate because the ladders on top triggers a photo-eye, but they ussually credit it back without my even asking.

    I'm not an EZPass customer and they claim I evaded a toll.

    How could they be wrong? It's a computer. It's not infallible. Theirs seems quite fallible actually in my experience.

    maybe someone clone your plates. call and talk to the folks at ezpass.

    Oh, I called them and protested. They sent me "proof" which was a screenshot of my car.

    not quite the same, but in chicago the gf got a parking ticket in the mail, claiming she'd illegally parked in a neighborhood she was 100% never in. at the time of the ticket, she was easily 15-20 miles away from there. clearly someone had mistyped the license plate, but there was no convincing them of that.

    really irritating.

    i can't remember if she ended up paying it, or if we fled the state first.
