First nice day in months and the lines of people at Connecticut Muffin and Starbucks are out the doors at 10:00 AM! WTF! And, is it just me or does there seem to be several thousand new little people in the 'hood - damn those long cold winters

I was forced to get coffee at Sweet Melissa's - yuck - I might have to make it at home again until these people start going to their summer homes. :x

Yes. I spotted 4 individuals (not together) on the street who looked like they just hopped off a plane from Minnesota and rushed to Brooklyn Industries to buy a look they read about. These people also stuck out because of what they were doing. One young, fashionable, blonde lady, wearing hip, clean (new?) clothing, was talking on a cell phone about how "cool" Brooklyn was, laid out by the N/R Train's Prospect Stop, in this tunnel on 4th Avenue. There is A LOT of bird crap and other nasty things on the sidewalk underneath this tunnel. Her butt was in direct contact with the sidewalk. My first thought was, "you're not from around here, are yea,?"

In your case, Livetotravel, if it helps you get your coffee and muffins faster, I will encourage any "new little people" to hang out in the new cool little 4th Avenue tunnel.

Must have been exceptionally good looking people, how else would they know that they were Minnesotan?
  • We ARE pretty, aren't we? Don't hate us because we're beautiful, oh bitter natives!
  • Except for Al Franken and Garrison Keillor, of course.

I....think you somehow just said that everyone in Brooklyn was ugly. I'm still trying to figure it out.
