Well, in the NYC-centric view of the world, I suppose. In reality, Phoenix is the fifth largest city in the US (larger than Philadelphia, who I suppose ARE yokels, ), the largest city in the mountain time zone, and the second largest city in the entire West US (behind LA.) There are eight million in NYC, but 300 million in the rest of the US, we are outnumbered and it would make sense to heed warning signs.
