Need Air Conditioner Installer Recomendation?

Afternoon everyone.

I need someone to install my window air conditioner in my apartment before it gets too hot around these parts. Any recommendations? I'm in south slope, and not looking for anything fancy.

Thanks all.

  • We use a company called Cooperline I think they charged us about $75 to install our AC phone 917 531-4054
  • Is that about the going rate? Yikes.
  • I think you'll find that to pay any tradesman that uses documented workers and has real insurance you are going to pay about that. You pay $85 to $100 hour to get your car worked on. A licensed plumber with helper, again with insurance and paying workers comp is going to charge $125 hour minimum. They have to drive here, and park (and pay parking tickets).... Its New York City, nothing is cheap
  • Local handyman in the neighborhood? I just put up two for someone, took like ten minutes each.
  • Subject: jeeze

Jeeze you are cheap! Do it yourself then.
  • I had 2 guys from the Electronics store on 7th Ave by Union install mine. I think it cost about $75 plus the tip. Worth it because they were fast and reliable.
  • Yes, that store on 7th (between Union & President) is called J & R, owner's name is Ralph.
I have them do all my electronics jobs. They're reasonable and responsible.
