What's the HUGE line outside Brooklyn Tech?

Don't know for sure but Brooklyn Tech is one of the schools that is used when a city test is taken, so that could possibly be it. I know that I took a test there on a Saturday years ago.

lol. surveys shows 99.8% of them would do a better job too. -
Chances are it's the SSHAT (I think that's the name) or the Specialized Science High School Aptitude Test) which promises admission to one of nine very good high schools in New York City. Although it used to be just the triumvirate of Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Tech and Bronx Science, other schools have joined the list such as Staten Island Tech, the High School for Math and Science among others.
There are nearly 100,000 eighth graders in NYC annually and each of these schools admits a thousand kids or less. Stuy, for example, has recently accepted as few as 650 students (it's the top ranked NYC High School).
Just think about a city the size of Billings Montana, populated solely by 14 year olds. Now, think about educating em. No wonder there's a line!

i don't know what it was, but i'm thinking it wasn't the SAT, SAT II, of SSHAT*.
*if that's the right name, it is the Best. Test. Acronym. EVER. -

It isn't.
Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT)
Additionally I find it hard to believe that there would be a lot of middle-aged people taking that test.
FWIW. Ditto. And stuff. -
