Straight outta Bergen Street (more kittens)
Sorry to jump on the kitty cat bandwagon here, but I've got two more, rescued from a parking lot on Bergen Street. Locally grown and so so cute... Please forward to anyone you think may be interested. Thanks!

actually, that's altered as in spay/neutered... -
since so many of you are cat-lovers, a question: the last cat i lived with shed like it was his job. well, and also bit the soft inside part of my upper arm while i was sleeping like it was his job. but mostly shed. and i loved him dearly, but i've been cat hair free for 3 or so years now, and in considering going back, this is the thing about which i have the most reservations. i've been really into not having everything i own covered in cat hair. so: are there certain characteristics i should look for in a cat to minimize the cat hair in my life? how do i tell, in looking for a cat, whether he/she will be a total furball or not?
-
Make sure the cat has short hair. Other than that, you have to brush/ comb them regularly. Some cats do seem to shed more than others. Also, female cats tend to bath themselves more (according to my mother) thus eating a lot more of what they shed.

Some breeds do shed more than others, but honestly, diligent use of a good cat brush should minimize all problems. The bonus is that cats treat the brush as if it was one huge cat tongue grooming them. They love it. It's a great way to keep your cats shedding down, but also to bond with the little bastard. -
*sigh* Since it's show'n'tell time...
Nope... I have the killer combo...
Abbey is too cute, and yes, she is fully grown...
and Jack is the most handsome, debonair cat to wear a tux... -

Not my cat. She's deathly afraid of the brush, which made the summer oh-so-pleasant: the lovely sound of hairball hacking and a bed constantly covered in hair! -

Ok you forced me to do it here are my furfaces

They dont seem to understand that they are OUR pets not the other way around

Actually, Jack has an assortment of soccer/baseball/basketball painted ping pong balls... and he's really effin' good... And he's a big cat, but not so bulky as to slow him down! I'd make a wager any day!!! -

I bet he wouldn't show up and would make some excuse about how busy the litter box was that day. -
5 days, 3 hours, 31 minutes 'til the beginning of the end of the pentathlon...
and bring your cat... -

Homosexual? I have my suspicions of Jack, as well... but I will still accept him if he comes out...

I was looking at this picture and I knew something was bothering me. Then I realized. What's with the raw onions on the hot dog? What are you, from Chicago? -

Yours are really cute, Laura. Especially Ray.

My cat will outcute them all.

How about this?
-
This just proves it. Kittens = urban scourge.
How have these furry little bitches turned so many cool people into drool-stained babbling ninnies? For the love of God, I would so much rather look at photos of your babies. Or your removed tonsils/gall bladders. -
Bluedove - your cat is beautiful! But thank goodness I don't have to brush him/her. Now I-m gonna have to scan in some pics of my pusses to post.
