Push in Robbery last night!!!!!!!!!!!!! — Brooklynian

Push in Robbery last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earlier this afternoon I was driving down Washington Ave towards Empire Blvd when I saw a channel 7 news van parked across from an apartment building .One person seemed to be giving an interview while the others were talking and looking quite concerned. It was near to Crown St. I wondered what happened until I saw the news about a push in robbery that occured early this morning/late last night. It was scary because after forcing a male into his apt and robbing and tying him up , the suspect used the firescape to break into 2 other apts on lower floors and rob those occupants as well after letting in 2 accomplices .They tied them up also but thank God noone was shot or injured too badly. That is unnerving. Please be aware and lock your windows near the fire escapes. These criminals are brazen and probably wouldnt hesitate to use their weapons .

  • Thanks for the heads up. I caught it on the news and in the papers today. It wasnt exactly a push in but a robbery indeed. They were lurking in the hallway and robbed him and then one took the fire escape and robbed the apts below after letting in his friends. Crazy.....things are definitely out of control. These robbers ever hear of a thing called...work?
  • 3AM jogging? To each his own, I guess...
"I had my key in the door, and as I was trying to get in, he came around and by the time I turned around, there's a gun in my face," said one of the victims, who only identified himself as "Javon."

Javon had just come in from a jog around 3 a.m. when a masked man put a gun to his head and forced him inside. "He asked me for the jewelry, I said, 'Here, here you go, take it,' because I'm not trying to [get shot]," he said. "I wanted to stay alive."

After taking jewelry and cash, the bandit used plastic ties to cuff Javon to a window. The suspect then went down a fire escape and entered Anthony Prucod's third floor apartment below.

"I woke up to a loud noise, my mom was in the living room spending the night, and I woke up to seeing her being assaulted by a man with a gun in a mask," Prucod said.

Prucod's mother, who 58, began screaming, which was what alarmed him and his wife. When they ran in, the gun was turned on them. The bandit then let an accomplice in and the two criminals tied all three occupants to a coffee table and robbed the apartment.

I imagine, if they had jobs and meaningful lives they wouldn't be robbing people which ain't exactly easy.
