Weekly parking? — Brooklynian

Weekly parking?

edited November -1 in Park Slope
I'm going to be out of town for 9 days and am not sure what to do with my car. I don't have any friends that i trust to move it for street cleaning (and most of my friends can't drive a stick anyway.) I could park it at the airport but I think it's going to be a small fortune.
Does anyone provide weekly parking for situations like this?

  • The long term parking at JFK is not that prohibitive but I don't know what airport you are going to... Know anyone in the suburbs?
  • I am going to JFK- happen to know the day rate off the top of your head? Just out of curiosity

Nope, no friends in the burbs. Its a shame

I believe long term at JFK is $15/day. There are a lot of streets with no parking regulations in Staten Island near the SIR. You could park there and ride back and over the ferry. And hope for the best. I've left cars on the south shore there for weeks without issue in the past. *shrug*
  • Some of the lots over in PH have weekly parking. Noticed one the other day on St Marks/Underhill asking $80/week. Little cheaper than a week at JFK Long Term...although driving to the airport saves you car/cab fare (or LIRR/Airtrain fare).

Leaving it in Staten Island seems a little extreme...aren't there some neighborhoods in southern Queens without alternate side rules? I know of plenty in Northern queens, but that's going to be a $20-30 car/cab ride each way anyway.
