huh? really? ive lived on franklin/fulton for about 6months and figured it just looked like a rougher area than it actually is -- especially because i've never truly felt unsafe...

but i guess i should be a little more cautious and a little less naive...

sarcasm, but i really needed to hear this. though i look like a typical bed-stuy resident i am originally from the midwest and i act like it. i feel much too secure in an area where i obviously should not. i need to be a lot more aware of my surroundings. i also need to not take so many risks... like, as woman in her early 20s, walking home alone at 3AM.

Gtrain, it's not just women in their early 20s who need to be careful....it's everyone. take a cab or car service if need be, though. i know the expenses are whack. despite saying everyone needs to be careful, i acknowledge that it feels like a it would be a bigger risk, as a woman, walking late at night.
