KEY FOOD CHEATS

it's happened to me MANY times at the one on 7th.
when i brought it to the attention of the manager, he outright called me a liar.
in front of the whole store. -
they make a remarkable amount of errors in their favor!
To balance out the karma, maybe you should head across the street to M&T Bank.

I've had issues with Key Foods too. I just stopped going there. I take a car to Fairway - it's cheaper and has WAY more selection that Key or C-Town.

Maybe they're balancing me out. I once got a big giant bottle of Linderman's Kriek for $3.99 at KF Flatbush.

I have heard that Target actually has a system that adjusts prices depending upon how frequent an item is purchased. If something is selling hot, the computers automatically up the price by 15-20 cents without changing the prices on the shelf. Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen to me.
While it's only a few cents: it's one thing if it is an honest mistake... something completely different if is is purposeful manipulation of prices. Anyhow, I never shop at Target myself so someone will have to speak to the truth of this. -
For the life of me I don't know why anyone shops at the 7th Avenue KF when the one on 5ht avenue is bigger, nice, cheaper and has parking! My son worked at 7th Avenue KF for a year and a half and I still didn't shop there.

and they have an "interesting" music selection at the 5th Ave. store :-) -
Not just Key Food. Pathmark at Atlantic Terminal is notorious for advertising one price by the shelves and then the register records differently. I do not allow the cashiers to start ringing at any supermarket or store I go to till I unpack my items and then can scrutinize what is being rung up.I always catch the misleading pricing.

Sometimes the Keyfood on 7th leaves things on sale for weeks

No sheeett, Sherlock!
Why do you think the lines are so slow at Key Food? All those cashiers screaming for the "void card" are reacting to customers who realized they got charged $6 for a $4.95 bag of chicken. They steal a dollar here and fifty cents there.
By the way, the same groceries at Key Food on Flatbush Avenue cost less than they do at the Key Food on 7th Avenue. -

It seems like that last 5 out of the last 7 times I went to Fairway I had to stop go to customer service to get errors corrected in my pricing. Mostly it is the checkers punching in the wrong codes for produce. Most frequently charging me for the "B" ($1.29 lb) potatoes instead of the "A" ($0.99 lb) , even when I stand there and tell them what they are. But I've been charged for beets by the bunch instead of loose, how you mistake that is beyond me. -
No excuse, because it is their job, but the cashiers at Fairway amaze me how they remember the codes for 50 different kinds of onions. They are bound to make a mistake or two (human error) so you have to watch the screen real closely, remember the marked price and always specify if you got the peppers inside or outside.
