Daily rate for a professional photographer?

I need to come up with an offer but I have no idea what going daily rate is for a professional photog. Can anyone help?

Im not a professional but if you are on a tight budget I will help you, I would just ask you to cover costs of printing

i had a local, well-known portrait photog take portraits of me last fall. $550-$600 for the session, which was all afternoon, from what i remember. and she ROCKED. (and if you PM me i can send you her info, because she's really good)

I'm really good, actually I'm better than really good. But if you knew me you would know I'm quite humble. Why am I offering myself? I love photography and I love to do personal projects. I am not looking to do photography as a way to make a living, it is my passion and my art. I love to use natural lighting and aim to get shots right without post-processing. Good luck whatever you do. Just felt like I needed to explain myself better.
